Attention DC/Baltimore concertgoers: On February 13, 2026, I have the incredible honor of conducting the Strathmore Jazz Orchestra at Strathmore in North Bethesda, MD in concert with the one and only Kurt Elling, one of the most inspiring musicians and human beings I’ve ever worked with and truly one of the greatest vocalists of our time.
We first met in 2012 at the Metropole Orkest Arrangers Workshop led by Vince Mendoza. I never imagined that 14 years later I would be sharing the stage with Kurt again, this time with me at the podium.
This concert is the debut performance of the Strathmore Jazz Orchestra, a killer, stacked band featuring the finest musicians from the DC and Baltimore area along with some very special guests from New York City. It is also a rare opportunity to see me perform locally, since most of my work happens in Europe.
Huge thanks to the incredible team at Strathmore, whose support made this project possible from the very beginning.
